  • PSAT
    The PSAT (Preliminary SAT) is an assessment administered by the College Board. It is taken by students preparing for the SAT to evaluate their academic level and become familiar with the test format. Designed according to grade-level pathways, the PSAT is suitable for practicing for the SAT in advance and objectively understanding academic achievement.
  • Digital PSAT Exam
    Since Fall 2023, the College Board has administered PSAT-related exams in a digital format. The computer-based digital test is easier to take than before, and a built-in calculator is provided.
  • Eligibility
    • PSAT/NMSQT: Grades 10–11
    • PSAT 10: Grade 10
    • PSAT 8/9: Grades 8–9

※ In particular, PSAT/NMSQT scores are used as a criterion to determine eligibility for the National Merit Scholarship Program scholarship selection.

  • PSAT Test Structure

  • The test is administered over a total testing time of 2 hours and 14 minutes (134 minutes) and consists of two sections: Reading and Writing (64 minutes) and Math (70 minutes).
  • Each section consists of two modules of equal length.
  • A 10-minute break is provided between the Reading and Writing section and the Math section.

Reading and Writing Section

Math Section

 64 minutes (two modules of 32 minutes each)

 Number of questions: 54 questions

 Assessment areas:

  • Reading comprehension of passages
  • Sentence understanding and analytical skills
  • Accuracy in grammar and expression
  • Information interpretation and logical reasoning skills

 Testing time: 70 minutes (two modules of 35 minutes each)

 Number of questions: 44 questions

 Assessment areas:

  • Mathematical reasoning skills
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Foundational college mathematics skills including algebra, geometry, and data analysis

Registration

Candidates must take each of the following exams—PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 10, and PSAT 8/9—only once. If a candidate takes the same PSAT exam more than once, the score will be cancelled.

  • After submitting the form, please pay the test fee (as indicated when submitting the form) through the account shown after submission. (Payment deadline: within the registration period)

  • 정부 발급 신분증 (만료일 이전의 유효한 여권, 주민등록증, 청소년증 등, 학생증 인정 불가)
  • 외국인인 경우 만료일 이전의 유효한 여권을 지참해 주시기 바랍니다.
  • College Board Student ID Form은 미국 외의 지역에서는 허용되지 않기에 인정이 불가합니다.

Before the exam, Digital SAT test takers must install the Bluebook™ application on the device they will use on the test day and ensure it is ready for use. Please use the SAT Practice Tests to become familiar with the test environment.

Device Preparation
Device specifications and installation instructions vary depending on the device type and the test. Please ensure that the device you plan to use on the test day meets the required specifications.

Bluebook Test Application
Bluebook must be installed before the test day. It is supported on devices such as Mac, Windows, and iPads.
