FAQ
Can I use a calculator on the ACCUPLACER math test?
Some questions allow the use of a calculator within the testing interface. For these questions, a calculator icon will appear in the upper-right corner of the screen, and the calculator can be used within the test program. Bringing a personal calculator to the test center or using a handheld calculator during the ACCUPLACER math test is not permitted.
Exception: If you have officially requested and been approved for testing accommodations that allow calculator use, you may use a handheld calculator.
Are there items I should not bring to the test center?
Mobile phones, tablets, dictionaries, digital cameras or watches, food or beverages, paper, rulers, protractors, and listening devices are not permitted inside the test room. (They must be stored in the designated waiting area outside the test room.) For a detailed list of prohibited items, please contact your test center.
Retesting Policy
- Candidates may take each subject up to five times within a one-year period (five attempts total within one year from the date of the first attempt).
- Candidates may retest the same subject after two weeks.
Score Reporting and Sending Scores
Test scores are available immediately after the test. You can send your scores to colleges and institutions through the Accuplacer Student Portal. Please check here for more details.
