  • The SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) is a representative college admission assessment test administered by the College Board, and it is widely used by universities in the United States and around the world as a benchmark to evaluate applicants’ college readiness and core academic competencies.
  • The SAT is not simply a test that measures memorized subject knowledge. Rather, it is a standardized test designed to comprehensively assess critical thinking skills, logical reasoning ability, problem-solving skills, and the academic thinking required for successful participation in university-level coursework. As a result, thousands of universities around the world—including institutions in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia—use SAT scores as part of their admissions review and scholarship evaluation.
  • Students around the world use the SAT to expand their opportunities for admission to prestigious international universities, demonstrate their academic abilities, and take a new step toward their future. The SAT is not just an exam, but a globally recognized college admissions test that evaluates college readiness and core academic thinking skills, and serves as an important benchmark for global higher education. The SAT is not a test of simple memorization.   • Digital SAT Exam

Every year, approximately 1.5 to 2 million students worldwide take the SAT, and since March 2023, the international version of the SAT (SAT International) has been administered entirely in a digital format known as the Digital SAT.
The Digital SAT is delivered as a computer-based test (CBT), and through an adaptive question structure, the test provides a more precise evaluation tailored to each test-taker’s performance level.
In addition, the Digital SAT has strengthened a more student-friendly testing environment, including a shorter testing time, expanded calculator usage, and faster score reporting.

  • SAT Test Structure

    The SAT is administered over a total testing time of 2 hours and 14 minutes (134 minutes) and consists of the following two sections.

Reading and Writing

Testing time: 64 minutes (two modules of 32 minutes each)

Number of questions: 54 questions

Assessment areas:

  • Reading comprehension of passages
  • Sentence understanding and analytical skills
  • Accuracy in grammar and expression
  • Information interpretation and logical reasoning skills

Math

Testing time: 70 minutes (two modules of 35 minutes each)

Number of questions: 44 questions

Assessment areas:

  • Mathematical reasoning skills
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Foundational college mathematics skills including algebra, geometry, and data analysis
Each section consists of two modules of equal length, and a 10-minute break is provided between the Reading and Writing section and the Math section.

The SAT is registered through the website of the College Board. Candidates who wish to take the test at the Korean-American Educational Commission test center should select the following test center information when registering for the exam.

Test Day

What to Expect on Test Day

Before test day, make sure you’re familiar with test day rules and procedures.

Check-in Time

  • The check-in time is from 7:45 AM to 8:00 AM, and entry will not be permitted once the test has started. Please review the test day guidelines before arrival.

Identification

Bring a valid identification document.

  • Korean Nationals: A government-issued ID valid before its expiration date, such as a passport, resident registration card, driver’s license, or youth ID (student IDs are not accepted)
  • Non-Korean Nationals: A valid passport that has not expired

What to Bring

  • Your Admission Ticket
    • Even if you have already printed your Admission Ticket, please check it again 1–2 days before the test to confirm any updates to the test center
  • A pen or pencil (scratch paper will be provided at the test center)
  • A calculator is built into the test application, so it is not required, but a physical calculator is permitted (please refer to the list of approved calculators)

Before the exam, Digital SAT test takers must install the Bluebook™ application on the device they will use on the test day and ensure it is ready for use. Please use the SAT Practice Tests to become familiar with the test environment.
