- GRE(Graduate Record Examination)
The GRE (Graduate Record Examination) is a standardized test used in the graduate admissions process in English-speaking countries, including the United States. It is required not only for admission to general graduate schools, but also for some professional graduate programs such as MBA programs and law schools. The GRE is divided into the GRE General Test, which evaluates general verbal and quantitative abilities, and the GRE Subject Test, which evaluates knowledge in specific academic disciplines. - Test Structure
- The GRE General Test evaluates fundamental academic abilities. The total testing time is approximately 1 hour and 58 minutes and consists of five sections.
Verbal Reasoning (One section): Evaluates English reading comprehension and logical reasoning skills
Quantitative Reasoning (Two sections): Evaluates quantitative reasoning and basic mathematics problem-solving skills
Analytical Writing (Two sections): Evaluates logical thinking and writing skills
- The GRE Subject Test has been administered as an Internet-Based Test (iBT) since September 2023. Currently, Mathematics, Physics, and Psychology subject tests are available. Registration and testing are available for two-week periods during September, October, and April each year.
- The GRE General Test evaluates fundamental academic abilities. The total testing time is approximately 1 hour and 58 minutes and consists of five sections.

Test Day
Check-in Time
- On test day, please arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled examination time.
Identification
- Please bring a valid form of identification in accordance with the valid identification requirements (GRE General Identification Requirements | GRE Subject Identification Requirements). If you do not present a valid form of identification, you will not be permitted to take the test under any circumstances.
Test Day
- Please check your name and lab assignment on the test-taker list posted at the building entrance.
- Please pick up the Confidentiality Statement and queue number ticket available on each floor and wait quietly.
