Hello students and parents preparing for the AP Exam.
Does the AP exam registration process feel complicated? Creating a College Board account and entering required information can be confusing, especially for first-time applicants.

To assist students and parents who are unfamiliar with the registration process, KAEC has prepared an updated AP Exam Registration Guide video for the 2026 AP Exams.
This video explains how AP exam registration is completed through KAEC and highlights important points to note during registration.

KAEC AP Exam Registration Process

  1. Log in to your College Board student account and review your personal information.
  2. Check the registration period, test fees, test location, and exam schedule on the KAEC AP page.
  3. Complete and submit the application form on the KAEC AP registration page, ensuring that all personal information exactly matches your College Board account details.
  4. Review registration-related emails, including payment instructions, and complete the exam fee payment.
  5. After payment, log in to your College Board account and register your Join Code according to the instructions provided by email.
  6. If you do not receive a Join Code, please check whether your exam appears in your College Board account approximately one week later, following the instructions provided in the KAEC email.

Simply remembering these six steps will help ensure successful registration.

Important Reminders

  • Ensure that your Legal English Name and date of birth exactly match your identification document.
    Do not use nicknames or unofficial English names.
    Mismatched personal information may result in denial of test admission or score invalidation.
  • If you receive a Join Code notification, log in to your College Board account and enter the code within the specified deadline.
    • You can immediately confirm that your exam has been successfully registered in your account.
    • It helps prevent potential errors that may occur during manual data transmission.
  • If the Join Code is not entered within the deadline or is not received, KAEC will upload exam information directly to College Board.
    To ensure proper account linkage, personal information entered during KAEC registration must exactly match your College Board account information.
    Failure to properly link your account may prevent you from taking the Digital AP Exam.
    Please carefully review KAEC emails and confirm that your exam registration is correctly reflected in your account.

Detailed instructions and reminders for each step will be sent to the student and parent email addresses provided during registration.
